What is the Fire Marshal?

The Fire Safety Level 2 course covers the role of the designated Fire Marshal. Delegates will learn about preventing fires and learn about the different types of fire extinguisher and how to use them correctly.

The course is aimed at anyone involved in the management of fire safety in any workplace. This includes managers, supervisors, team leaders, fire wardens (marshals) and staff working in any area where there is a potential risk of fire.

Core Units:

The HSE Compliant Fire Marshal course is a 1/2 day course and is divided into several units:

1. Understanding the hazards and risks associated with fire in the workplace
2. How fire risk is controlled in the workplace
3. The principles and practice of fire safety management at work
4. The role of the nominated fire warden

Course Material

All course materials are provided for the training course.

Assessment

Students must attend all sessions of the Fire Marshal course.  This is a very interactive course and students are assessed daily throughout undertaking individual and group exercises, case studies and there is a multiple-choice test on the course.

Qualification & Renewal

Students are awarded the Fire Warden/Marshal certificate and card.

The qualification is valid for 3 years, after which students will need to undertake a 1 day Fire Marshal Re-qualification course to maintain the qualification for a further 3 years.

Our course tutors are qualified and experienced health and safety professionals, with extensive experience in First Aid, Health & Safety, Construction and Risk Management.

All our Trainers hold numerous appropriate First Aid and health and safety qualifications such as a NEBOSH General Certificate, and the NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction Health & Safety which is the leading Health & Safety Award in the Construction Industry.

Additionally, all our Trainers hold teaching qualifications which is a minimum Level 5 which is well above the required industry standard to ensure that we deliver Training of the highest Standard.
